Austin, I think I love you.

We arrived in Austin to gorgeous weather and lots of traffic. What a fun city! We checked into our Hampton Inn and went out to dinner at the Saltgrass Steakhouse. YUMMMM! One of the best filets I've ever had. It was so good, Sydney ate a whole steak. Hers was a sirloin, but still...

Even though Sydney's eyes are closed in this picture, I had to record it for posterity's sake. This child can eat two tablespoons of food and call it good, but she ate that whole steak and some of mine, drenching each bite carefully in ketchup.

The next morning, we went to a great mall and enjoyed all the activities they had to offer...

And right next door was a place called Inflatable Wonderland... so fun!!

We had lunch at the food court, where Syd once again indulged in her new love, Chic-Fil-A, which made me sing this song...

While I slightly amused my husband, my kids were in the backseat screaming for me to stop. Nice.

Anyway,
We went to Austin to see Bob and Gwen, Cory's Aunt and Uncle and their family. We showed up just in time to play Bingo with Bob, which is one of his favorite activities... Syd and Brenna's too, I guess!

Brenna was playing blackout, even though no one else was

Cory's cousin Scott had come over with us, and we met Gwen there. In the middle of Bingo, Todd and Gaye arrived too, so we had quite the bingo party going on. We were kind of loud, so hopefully Bob isn't banned from future Bingo tournaments. :-)

Then we went out to the courtyard to visit. Brenna charmed a lady in a wheelchair who apparently never smiles. It's hard to help smiling when a 2 year old asks you to hold her puppy while she picks a weed and brings it to you.
Sydney enjoyed hanging out with Scott...

And we took this silly pic of us with Bob.... it was so great to see you!

Afterward, we drove by Todd and Gaye's house to see their halloween decorations, which are not even close to finished yet. Can't wait to see the pics when they are!

And we hung out for the rest of the evening with Scott and Gwen at Gwen's house, having a yummy dinner and playing unicorn races...

We had so much fun with our Austin family. Hope to see you all again soon!

And then we drove back home the next day. The end. :-)
