Top 10 things to do around here.

10. Visit the Lobster Tank at Walmart.
9. Catch sight of an airplane or a few! It never ceases to please me how these Air Force children who have lived on or near an Air Force Base for their entire short lives, are still amazed and joyous at the sight of a flying hunk of metal. And it's always being flown by their dad, too. Even if they just saw him 10 minutes ago.
8. McDonald's Playplace. You might not be a McDonald's fan, but I guarantee you would spend your fair share of time here too. It is pretty dang hot here sometimes. You can only go to the bowling alley so much.
7. The bowling alley.
6. Church. Brenna has probably spent equal amounts of time at church and at home since she was born here in ****** 2 and a half years ago. Between Wednesday LBS, VBS, SS, SW, WOW and MDO, I mean.
5. Decode acronyms.
4. Requisite Events: Chili Cookoff, Rock and Rumble, the Air Show (I heard the guy who put it together last year was pretty hot), Cattle Drive through base, Rodeo, Send offs/Welcomes/Farewells/Promotions/Courtmartials, Rattlesnake Roundup, Fall Fest at FUMC, and that scary carnival that comes through every few months and parks at the Community Center.
3. The Base Pool is a pretty happenin' place. And yes we DO get out of the pool and put our hands over our hearts at 4:30 just like you see on Army Wives.
2. Quartz Mountain. Yes sirree, we do have water in these parts. And there are hiking trails and horse back and train rides, a teeny little amusement park, a decent restaurant, a swimming beach and water slides, if you're not a lake kind of person.
1. Playdates. Whether they are at the playgrounds, the pools or in someone's backyard, the best kind of fun to be had around here is the kind that makes you some of the best friends you'll ever have.

I know I probably missed some good ones. Comment away!
