Boomer Sooner

Well, you may have noticed that it has been awhile since I last posted. We picked up Boomer shortly after my last update post and it was a very rough first few days. In fact, we started to look for another home for Boomer because we really didn't think it was going to work. Dude had -- still has -- major separation anxiety, was barking, whining, howling in the backyard when we weren't out with him. And I mean loudly. And inside, he was fixated on the cat. Jenna might possibly have been smack talking him too, but I'm not sure. Anyway, it all worked out. He's ours for good.

He is a good boy. He walks with the girls in the morning and takes a run with Cory in the evening. In between he's harassed by 2 small redheads and laid on and loved whether he likes it or not. He's doing better about staying outside sometimes, sleeps well in his kennel and is being weaned off his cheese habit. Boomer is not a big eater, and needs to gain some poundage, so we are really encouraging him to eat HIS food instead of people food so he gets the proper nutrients and we can stop getting the looks from people who I assume think we are not feeding him.

Boomer was abandoned after being dropped off for boarding at our local vet's office. Our friends adopted him but could not keep him due to health concerns in their family. So he is ours, and we are going to love him forever.
