Scenes from the Yard

We are doing some work on our storm shelter, and by "we" I mean our friend Billy. After last week's crazy hard rain, we had some standing water down there. So our revamping came to a screeching halt while we figure out what to do about that problem.

Today, Billy was down in the shelter pumping water out and Boomer was hanging out in the yard, tilting his head at the noises coming from the hole and going on point at random objects. Oh, and begging someone to play fetch with him... here are some scenes from our day. (Hey, you take what you can get, people. It's hard trying to figure out what to blog about every day for a whole month!)

Here we see that we do indeed have some work to do...

Seriously, you wanna play with me?

How can you resist a handsome guy like me?

Then tonight after ballet, the girls persuaded me to rake up some leaves for them to play in. For once, Syd was all about getting her picture taken. Brenna, not so much.

And here's Brenna helping mommy make muffins to go with our steak and vegetable soup that had been simmering away in the crock pot all day.

We love fall! But not wet storm shelters. The end.
